The Journey Continues

Sunday March 11, 2007

*Hey guys! I made it in ok and got enough time to post these two blogs. The first one is below this one so go read that one first. If i get more time this week i will continue posting. Love ya all!*

Ok so after I ended writing last night they made… that’s right- another announcement! They decided it would be a great idea to just send us to Atlanta to meet our plane there. We were to take our original plane that could go to Atlanta, but somehow was not cleared to fly internationally. So they flew us to Atlanta. At that point I think no one cared, as long as we were going SOMEWHERE. Once in Atlanta they promised us that we would just have to hop to the other plane… do you believe them? Naw, didn’t think so. Yeah it was about another hour until they boarded us. So I took these lil pics to share my feelings about Delta. :D
I can’t even remember when we left but it was really late or early however you look at it. Oh and then just before I boarded I ripped my favorite pair of jeans! GRR!! At that point I was in the airport and just laughing in hysterics like a crazy person. :P So Delta was pretty disappointing. That plane was ghetto. The t.v. for the movie they showed was far away and I didn’t want to wear my glasses so it was a bit fuzzy. But I watched the movie Dreamgirls till about 3 or 4 am- not too bad of a movie. Oh but ok for all the crap that this journey has been there was one really good thing! On my way to Atlanta I was in the middle section with two guys next to me. Well for some reason they didn’t carry on to London and so those seats were EMPTY! Chyeah! It was a packed flight and I had the WHOLE ROW to myself. Hahaha! Sweet! So I got to lay down and sleep. Did I feel bad that I was the only one onboard other than the first class people who got to do this? Hmmm maybe a little. So the flight lasted 8 hours and we made it into London Gatwick at 4:30 pm.- 7 whole hours behind schedule! That’s a whole day of my break wasted. Am I pissed? Yes. Will I ever fly Delta again? Hell no. But hey… at least they didn’t loose my baggage! Now how’s that for the glass half full? :) Once here, I went to talk to the bus people and they changed me to another one getting in at 9:50 p.m. Well at least I will make it there. Right now I am sitting in a “Costa” coffee place and have a few minutes before my bus leaves. But yep, I made it here. Not without me stressing out with a few tears here and there, but I made it! I’m in ENGLAND again!

…I thought I’d share more on this day too. Well after I left the Costa coffee place I went outside to wait for my bus only to find out… oh yeah, you guessed it- the bus was having “problems”. A lady put me on another bus and said I would have to meet the bus at the Heathrow Airport. By this point I was like yeah that’s totally expected just get me to where I need to be. So I arrived in Leicester 30 minutes late, but Jennie was still waiting for me in the bus station. Yay! That day just couldn’t end without that last bit of drama.
