I Swear I Didn’t Come Here Just to Shop

Friday March 16, 2007

Honestly I didn’t, but since well we didn’t have too much to do today… well shopping might have been included. But let’s start at the beginning. Jennie had a class today but it wasn’t till a little later in the morning so we got to sleep in until 9. Whoo hoo 9 a.m. Ha ha. Anyways, I went to Uni with her and she logged me onto a computer there and then went to class, which meant I got to catch up on postings. I’m guessing though that it will be awhile until this one and Saturday’s and Sunday’s gets posted. Oh well. Really, this is about me writing down my memories so I don’t forget them and I can look back and go awwww I had such a great time, etc. :D Well anyways, after she got out of class we went to the city centre. That place is so fabulous. I usually hate crowds, but it just amazes me just how many people are down there in the middle of the day on a weekday! Crazy. We went there mostly because Jennie has been looking for a coat and because we had to go to Primark together. Primark… of course it was pretty great. I didn’t grab a pic though because shock of shocks, they had people out on the floor folding the torn through clothes. It was still pretty crazy though. I must admit, I did buy a few things… including another pair of shoes. But in my defense they were only flip flops! I also bought a skirt, which Jennie also liked so she bought it too. We did the same thing in Ireland too funnily enough, and so we decided we must make this a tradition- whenever we get together we need to buy matching cheap skirts. So later in the day we took a pic of us wearing our skirts and Jennie’s skirt from Ireland. :P Yeah we are nerds! We love it though!

After Primark we went to the Shires shopping centre to get something to eat and then look around for the post office and the bookstore. While we were on the second floor I heard Jennie saying hi to people passing by us so I started to step to the side so I wouldn’t be in between them. That’s when someone to my right ran into me. As I tried to get out of the way by turning around (still not looking) they kept shoving me. I knew then that it had to be him- Yasin!! LOL! I think I had to do a full circle before I turned around and confirmed it was true, it was him. Jennie and I keep laughing that it is only fitting that we ran into him in the mall- his natural habitat. Hahaha! He is such a girl. I remember the shock of finding out he was straight though. Too funny! But it was great, we hugged and he told me that when he heard I was coming over he “told them not to let me in… those fuckers”. LOL- yep, still the same ole Yasin. We then made plans to meet up tomorrow, but Jennie and I are wondering if he actually will meet up with us. It is St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow and really it makes me wonder if he will ditch us. I am sure he is wanting to get completely trashed and then well there is Jennie and I who drank water when we went to the pubs in Ireland. Haha, we are party animals, we are. Which of course meant he wouldn’t toast with us cause he says that if you do that you will have bad sex for a year. Pff! Anyways, Jennie and I are already getting mad at him; we just know he is going to cancel on us and then like Jennie said earlier “instead of being a 3 out of 5 reunion, it will be a 2 on 1 murder”. Well that or we will make plans to kidnap his precious towel with the purdy pink rose on it and send it back to him in pieces, thread by thread. Wha ha ha ha! Well anyways, after our little shopping adventure we came back to Jennie’s place where we went through our purchases and for me to start packing. But before I packed everything up we just had to get a pic of me with all of my shoes- all 8 of them including the ones I brought with me.

Yikes, I feel like I am turning into one of those obnoxious girls- yuck! After that we made some more of our absolutely yummy British smores, and then wrote a postcard to Alisande to tell her we miss her and that this little Ireland reunion isn’t complete without her. :( Well, that’s all for today- Here is hoping we meet up with the fucker tomorrow… er, Yasin I mean! :P
