Long Time No See….

Yeah, it’s been a few days since I last wrote. I haven’t been feeling too well due to my lovely colon and then I’ve been dealing with a lot of personal relationship issues. Food for thought I guess you could say. I’m telling you spending this much time with myself is a lil strange, but I am so you’re stereotypical study abroad student I think. You know the bull they give us about “learning about yourself”. Yes I know that sounds insanely corny! So feel free to scoff- I know I would! Anyways, not much has really been happening anyways. I applied to the “HOST” program. This program is though the school and an organization throughout the UK. You go and spend an evening or a weekend with a British family so you can better grasp the whole British way of living. I think it’s a really cool idea which is why I signed up for it. They got me a HOST visit the first weekend in May (long time away, I know!) with a family in Northern Wales. Very cool seeing as how I want to see Wales. I really wanted Scotland though. : ( Oh well- I’ll take what I can get. All I have to pay for is transportation which I think will be like 30 pounds. Lets hope its not more than that! But they pay for everything else. I’m excited, but the thing says I need to contact my HOST person. It only gives the address and phone number though and I would feel really weird just calling this person and going- Um yeah, you’re supposed to let me come stay for you for a weekend… they told you that right? I don’t know that just seems weird. I wish I had their email address because that would be much more comfortable. I could also possibly write them at their home address, so maybe that’s what I’ll do. Ok- I was rambling a bit there. Sorry! Anyhoo, today I didn’t get as much accomplished as I wish I could have. I’ve had to switch my Human Bones essay topic. Blah! Oh and that reminds me of your guys’ question about the bones. Well you see our class is in a lab room that holds boxes of skeletons in their pieces. So all our work done with them is at the lab. If we want to go in and work on them during non class times then we have to contact someone and have them unlock the room for us. And yes they are real. We all get our own nifty skelly to examine. I have yet to start on mine, but I am hoping to be able to do that over break. Which reminds me- is only 3 weeks away!!! YIKES! Oh and for all ya’ll back home- enjoy your spring break this week! Take some much needed time to rest! (Hehehe… “ya’ll”… makes me fell all American like) : P Today I also started coming up with ideas about my education. I think I really am going to double major in History and Anthropology (Archeology). I am so close to finishing my History major so I might as well stick with that and I really want to do Archeology, even if that does mean that I graduate in ’08 instead of ’07. I’m actually not in that big of a rush to graduate anyways so I guess it’s no big really. Well I’m off to bed where I’m crossing my fingers I actually wake up early tomorrow and get a descent start on that essay I’ve been putting off like nobody’s business! Night all and hope everyone had a good week!
