Life in Leicester

Ahhh yet another week begins. Part of me is getting really excited that there is only 3 weeks left until the break, but another part of me is freaking out with all that I need to get done. Also once the break is over, I only have 2 weeks left here. I feel kind of sad to think of leaving this place. I even had a dream about it too. Not to say that I don’t miss home (cause I really do), but I think its going to be really hard to leave here as well. All of us Americans are feeling it too. We’ve all been talking about how weird it is going to be to NEVER see any of these people again. Well for the most part at least. Although dinner conversation is usually steered towards how we are going to be actually able to eat edible food again when we get back. Ahhhh how nice that sounds. Taco Bell? Oh yeah- so gonna hit that place up. Jim’s Wings? Two words- Heck. Yeah. : ) You all better be waiting for me at the airport with some quality American junk food! Hehehe! Although I must say, I’m getting quite sad that no one can come and visit me. Everyone is having family and friends coming in the next few weeks. A lot of the girls are also having their boyfriends come. Darn- why can’t my boyfriend come? Oh wait… that’s right, I don’t have one. Darn! Note to self- get boyfriend! : ) Hehehe. Ah, I know you would all be here in a flash if you could. Ok… so today. Well I had my Human Bones class. Wow that class along with the Genetics class I took back in high school really reminded me of all the scary things that can go wrong with our bodies. Too scary. But as always the class was a blast. The people are all so fun to mess around with, and we never seem to get tired of lame bone jokes. Nothing like posing the hanging skeleton in stupid funny ways. Yeah, we don’t get a lot done some of the time. But its fun just staring at the bones going- Yep… this person is defiantly, without a shadow of a doubt… dead. Well there is also the fun times saying- Ah, yes… I believe this person had Ankylosing spondylitis. Ah yes- I concur! Pff if we know what we are talking about. Of course it turned out later that we were sadly wrong and our skeleton actually had TB. Oh well! : ) Good times anyways. Getting to know these people in classes like this really helps the whole hateful British imagine. I mean, true a lot of them hate Americans. Well everyone hates Americans really, but some of them are actually quite nice. It probably also helps though that they are third years students and not first year. : ) After class I returned back to my room until dinner. That’s always fun and exciting. What are they going to pass off as food tonight? I was actually quite happy though cause they had the chicken kiev tonight, but the dessert was nasty. Um… I don’t think its natural to eat something that is so unnaturally brightly colored it blinds the eyes. : P Man I know I am slacking here with the Did ya knows. I’m coming up with a blank here so I’m gonna do a fake did ya know tonight. Did ya know that they have been using some older busses lately for the 80 bus route. My favorite one I like to call the Halloween bus. The seats are orange and black and it smells like Halloween candy! Hehehe- I know that was insanely random. I’ll think of something better soon, I promise!
