Just A Wednesday

Today I did something really quite amazing. I got up when my alarm went off! I know! Let’s all take this moment to gasp together….*GASP!!!* Hehehe. I was even up in time for hot breakfast AND since I had an hour and a half before class started, I walked to campus. Yes- I felt mighty proud of myself this morning. : ) Then when I got to campus I had to stop by the Study Aboard Office. I have been receiving nasty letters from the Accommodation office saying I haven’t paid for my room yet. I went by last week and they said they would forward the information over to them, and yet yesterday I received another nasty letter demanding I show up to a “meeting” tomorrow to discuss why I haven’t paid. Uhhh!! So I talked to one of the Study Abroad Coordinators and she said that this happens every year and the Accommodations Office lost the list that she sent them so she sent them another list. She told me not to worry about it and to ignore it, so I guess that’s what I will do. But the letter also said I’ve been charged an extra 30 pounds because I’m “late”. Hmmm tis all very interesting. Next I went to my Roman Ceramics class where it wasn’t a class at all. It was more of a practical. Our teacher gave us our assemblages of hundreds of pottery shards and we got to work on sorting them all out. Its all a bit confusing, but I’m learning and its really quite interesting. When I got home I was quite ecstatic- I got more mail! Yay! Yes mom- the package FINALLY came! Whoo hooo!!! American TV and lots of goodies! Oh yeah! That’s what I’m talking about. :P Ok tonight’s “did ya know”- Did ya know that baked potatoes are called “jacket potatoes” here? Ahhh these crazy British people!
