A Bit of a Productive Day

Shout out to my sister! It’s her 25th birthday and she is headed off to the wonderful land of Casa Bonita. Awww I wish I could be back in the States right now!! Someone will have to tell me what Phil predicted today- more winter? I guess it doesn’t really matter to me cause I know what kind of weather I’m in for in these next few months…and that is defiantly winter. Brrr! Well today I headed off to ASDA! Yay go me for not putting it off for yet another day! While I was there I got lots of food and stuff for my room. MMMmmm when I got back to my room I made myself a nice yummy sandwich with the stuff I bought. Ok the cheese here? Absolutely fabulous!! Seriously! I’m pretty much in heaven. The Red Leicester cheese is soooo good. But anyhoo, I was pretty happy cause I managed to get quite a bit of groceries all for just 9 pounds. Nothing like the “ASDA price”. Hey I got a loaf of bread for like 28p! Pretty sweet- LOL and yes I realize my giddiness at this makes me a total loser! Hehehe! Ah well, nothing new there. It was quite a terrible walk back though and my arms felt like they were going to fall off. I also realized when I got back that I accidentally bought sparkling water instead of still. Ewww! Dang it! Oh well. It was also quite sad because I couldn’t find the receipt to my evil possessed clock that I wanted to take back today. I really loathe that thing!! GRRRR! Today I was also was quite proud of myself because I did my laundry. Oh and don’t worry Laura- I checked for any nail polish bottles before I put my clothes in! (That was absolutely horrible!!) Of course I didn’t have enough change on me to finish drying my clothes so at the moment they are spread throughout my room drying. Hmmmm how am I going to go to sleep? I really need to get off my cheap butt and go buy some hangers. You know I just realized that doing my laundry just cost me like 8 bucks. Wow! This exchange rate sucks!! But I still had fun there. There was a machine on the wall which I thought probably held detergent for your clothes (crazy assumption seeing as how it was in the laundry room- I know!), but on further examination (just like the machine in the woman’s bathroom) it was a condom machine! I was like what? No way! Hmmm well its good to know that if I decide to get frisky with a guy doing my laundry we will have protection! Pfft! What a random place to have a condom machine! While I was there I also saw a British guy I met about a week ago. I love the British. Only they could say “Hello, luv” as a complete casual greeting. Its quite cute- now if only American guys were that adorable. Hehehe. Then again American guys really probably couldn’t pull it off. It would be seen way too much of a pick up line. Ahhh well….musings of Ashley. : ) And now its time for tonight’s “did ya know”. So did ya know that when you go to ASDA they have you bag your own groceries? They sometimes ask if you want help doing it though, but everyone here bags it themselves. Seriously- why don’t we do that? Wow…we are lazy if you think about it! Its not like its hard to do, so why do we have people do it for us? Ever think about? : ) Ok I’m off to bed. I actually want to wake up for breakfast tomorrow- unlike today! : P
